Family owned and operated, the Otautau Hotel has everything a country hotel can offer. Proudly serving Allpress expresso coffee to have here or takeaway, hot stone pizzas and bar snacks available all day. We have an extensive lunch and dinner menu to suit every taste.
There are gaming machines, a pool table and TAB. We have live bands and musicians performing monthly.
We also provide modern accommodation consisting of 5 doubles, 1 single and 1 self contained en suite studio unit.

A family business
The Otautau Hotel is a newly renovated country hotel in the heart of Western Southland surrounded by beautiful rivers, mountains and bush. It is very much still a family business.
Kim and David took over the Otautau Hotel in August 2017 and have been a breath of fresh air for the locals. Both have extensive experience working in the hospitality industry and a passion for good food and great drinks!
They take pride in the recent changes to the menu and look forward to sustaining a solid place in the community, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to every person who walks through the door!
